Do I need extra sensors?
No. DarkSpeed works out of the box with your phone's GPS — no mounts, no straps, no pairing. If you want wheel-derived speed and cadence (great in tunnels and forests), pair any standard Bluetooth CSC sensor.
Will it work without signal?
Yes. There's no cloud, no maps to download, no login. GPS comes straight from your phone, so as long as you have a sky view it works anywhere in the world.
How does it impact battery?
OLED-optimized: pure black backgrounds, pixel shift to prevent burn-in, and an in-app brightness dimmer while riding. Set a screen-off timeout — GPS keeps recording in the background.
What languages are supported?
50 European languages. The app follows your phone's language automatically — no setting to change.
What data do you collect?
No accounts, and your rides, routes and stats stay on your device — never uploaded. To improve the app we collect anonymous, aggregated usage statistics and crash reports through Google Firebase (no GPS coordinates, no personal data, no ads). Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
